Dr. Calvin Dang grew up in Southern California but moved to the Bay Area to attend and graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry where he received prestigious awards from the American Academy of Periodontology and others for his academic excellence. Following his dental training, he continued a rigorous 3 year post-graduate residency program in Periodontics at UCSF, where he served as Chief Resident. During the specialty training. Dr. Dang also received a Master of Science (M.S.) degree, where he focused his research in mini-implant to evaluate quality of life with this treatment.
Dr. Dang is actively involved in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Dang keeps up to date on many continuing educational classes, insuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. In his spare time, he spends lots of time with his family. He enjoys running, biking, cooking, traveling, gardening, watching movies and keeping a healthy mind.
Dr. Dang’s skills cover a wide range to help our patients with: periodontal (gum) advanced cleanings and surgeries to correct gum disease, tissue grafts for recession, implants to replace missing teeth, extractions for hopeless teeth, bone graft, regeneration and many other specialty treatments that only well-trained periodontist can do.
